June Intensive Week One: June 1–5, 2-2026
Rev. Dr. Joel Scandrett has been a lifelong lover of Christian history, theology, and doctrine—for the fidelity, maturity, and unity of the Body of Christ. With a PhD from Drew University, an MDiv from Gordon-Conwell, and degrees from Wheaton College, he serves as Associate Professor of Historical Theology and Director of the Catechesis and Christian Formation Program. As an ordained ACNA presbyter, he sees his academic work as a direct expression of his calling to pastor and teach the Church.
Rev. Dr. Scandrett serves as Trinity's "chief catechist," training future pastors in Christian faith and Anglican tradition. His goal is to form students in sound teaching, equip them to discern truth from error, and cultivate wisdom and maturity. He approaches his role as teacher, pastor, mentor, and fellow brother in Christ.
He loves Trinity's chapel worship—Daily Office and Wednesday Eucharist—calling it a gift to worship together daily. Community meals and international students connecting Trinity to global Anglicanism are close seconds. His hope is that students enter ministry spiritually mature and theologically sound, faithfully shepherding Christ's Church. As a missionary kid, he loves diverse cultures and travel. He's also a devoted Tolkien fan.
