Life at Trinity

The Rev. Canon Wes Jagoe

Associate Dean of Community Life and Chaplain

At Trinity, our staff are essential partners in forming Christian leaders for mission. Every day, they serve with a shared calling: supporting students, faculty, and the broader church as we prepare outstanding leaders to plant, renew, and grow churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our staff understand their role in fulfilling our mission in service of Christ and his church. Whether maintaining our campus grounds, supporting students through technology and registration services, preparing meals that nourish community, coordinating events that strengthen the church, or advancing our institution through development and administration, their service is essential to our success.

Trinity's staff embody the servant leadership we seek to instill in our students. In our close-knit Ambridge community, they experience the rhythms of Anglican formation while supporting the next generation of church leaders.

Student Life at Trinity

Student life is shaped by a vibrant rhythm of worship, study, and community. Each day typically begins and ends with communal Morning and Evening Prayer in the chapel, grounding students in the Anglican tradition and fostering a sense of shared purpose. Beyond academics, life at Trinity emphasizes spiritual formation, authentic relationships, and mutual support.

Support for the Journey

Worship

What is learned in the classroom cannot be separated from the spiritual formation of students in daily prayer and immersion in the Word of God. As a Christian community, our common life centers around daily worship in the Prayer Book tradition and the patterns of the liturgical year.

Study

In addition to rigorous classroom education, Trinity cultivates the life of the mind through extracurricular activities such as Dean's Hours, Mission Expos, special lectures, and guest speakers. Many students enjoy fellowship with professors and other students outside the classroom.

Community

Formation extends beyond the doors of the classroom and chapel through shared meals, weekly small groups, picnics, intramural sports, men and women's fellowship, quiet days, special events, and other informal gatherings.

Most of our students live within walking distance of our campus, including the many Trinity owned student houses.

Families are as much a part of our community as students. They participate in our chapel services, enjoy Family Lunch on Thursdays, and take advantage of the family resource center, nurseries, playground, and student recreation room.

Service

We seek to be the light of Christ through our commitment to the local community and through special events, student led service projects, and our involvement with local churches. Students have opportunities to serve and learn in cross cultural context  both at home and abroad.

Trinity is central to the life of the Anglican Church in North America and a celebrated institution for the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON). As such we regularly engage and have the opportunity to serve the Global Anglican Communion.
