This course offers a survey of the history of member churches of the Anglican Communion and Anglicans from other jurisdictions in the non-Western world, with opportunity for extended focus on particular geographic regions, groups, or themes. Fulfills ME elective.

Dr. Edward Smither

Dean of the College of Intercultural Studies, Columbia International University

Author or editor of fifteen books, his works include Christian Mission: A Concise Global History and Missionary Monks: An Introduction to the History and Theology of Missionary Monasticism. Ed served for fourteen years in cross-cultural ministry in North Africa, France, and the United States. Since 1999, he has been married to Shawn and together they parent three kids: Brennan, Emma, and Eve.

If this is your first credit class at Trinity, or you are not taking the course as part of a degree, please complete the non-matriculated application. A bachelor’s degree is required to obtain credit.
