Disciple-making in the Anglican Tradition

Two men, focused, sit at a table. One has a long white beard; the other wears glasses. A laptop, blue tumbler, and cup are in front of them.

Living the Anglican Room: Discipleship Rooted in Word, Prayer, and Sacrament.

Two women seated in a conference room, engaged in conversation. One in a yellow cardigan appears attentive and thoughtful. People in the background.

A theological and pastoral exploration of Anglican discipleship shaped by C.S. Lewis’s “hallway and rooms” metaphor. Beginning with the shared foundations of mere Christianity, the course opens the door to the “Anglican room,” tracing how Scripture, creed, and sacrament form a distinctive way of following Jesus. Students engage historical anchors from the English Reformation to the global communion, examine the Book of Common Prayer as a school of prayer and life, and consider practices such as catechesis, the daily office, Eucharistic worship, and parish life. Throughout, we connect doctrine to devotion and mission, articulating how Anglican convictions cultivate mature disciples in today’s church and world.
