A continued study in systematic theology centered on the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. We will explore biblical foundations for Christology, the ecumenical creeds and councils, and the Anglican formularies that confess the one Christ in two natures. Attention is given to the incarnation, the offices of Christ (prophet, priest, and king), and the saving work of his life, death, resurrection, ascension, and intercession. Along the way, we assess classic and contemporary accounts of atonement, the significance of the resurrection for new creation, and the implications of Christ’s lordship for worship, discipleship, and pastoral ministry.
