The Kitchen Assistant will create an atmosphere of hospitality for Trinity students, faculty, staff, and guests through preparing and serving quality food at Trinity lunches, post-worship coffee hours, and events.

Job Summary

Help create a welcoming environment by preparing meals and supporting Trinity's ministry of hospitality through daily food service and special events.

Requirements

Knowledge , Skills, Abilities
  • Experience in a cooking/baking environment, preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess organization skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to attend work consistently and punctually

Education and Experience
  • Experience in a cooking/baking environment, preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Primary Duties

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, baking, and serving of food/beverages in multiple kitchens and dining settings
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen work areas, and dining settings
  • Coordinate student kitchen assistants and volunteers

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
  • Stand and work for extended hours in potentially hot or cold surroundings
  • Navigate between two kitchens approximately ½ mile distance
  • Work occasional evenings and weekends during Seminary-hosted events
  • Lift up to 30lbs

Salary and Benefits:

Part time work, at $15 per hour
