The Rev. Dr. Preston Hill

Rev. Dr. Preston McDaniel Hill (Ph.D. University of St Andrews) is Assistant Professor of Integrative Theology and Director of the Doctor of Ministry Program at Richmont Graduate University. His doctoral thesis was the first book-length study of Christ’s descent into hell in the theology of John Calvin. His current research focuses on reformation theology, psychological science, mental health, religious deconstruction, and trauma-informed theology and spiritual care. He recently completed a John Templeton Foundation grant for research on mental health and spiritual trauma care. His publications include Dawn of Sunday: The Trinity and Trauma-Safe Church, and Christ and Trauma: Theology East of Eden. Preston is a pre-licensed clinical pastoral therapist and an Anglican ordinand. He is Pastor of Therapy and Spiritual Care at his local church.
