ThD - 2025, Evangelical Seminary at Kairos University
MLIS - 2007, School of Information Sciences, University of Pittsburgh
MAR - 2004, Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry

Director of the Library

Since high school, Dr. Susanah Wilson has felt called to serve God by advancing his church. She came to Trinity in 2002 as a MAR student and started working in the Library. Part-time student work became full-time after graduation, leading to an MLIS degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, she completed her ThD.

As Director of the Library and instructor of RW 701, Theological Research and Writing, Dr. Wilson provides students with resources and tools to recognize quality sources while holding true to personal convictions. She believes the best way to form community is through vulnerability—being honest about joys and struggles. Meeting weekly with faculty for prayer and leading student advisee groups fosters this community.

The student advisee group is the highlight of Dr. Wilson's week. She also enjoys impromptu conversations about life, family, and theology, and finding obscure references for students or faculty. Her hope is that Trinity students can serve God wherever he places them as thoughtful practitioners. Raised on a dairy farm, she enjoys spending time with her two boys and the family cat, taking long walks outside, reading, knitting, baking, and yoga.

Research Interests

Dr. Wilson's research interests focus on biblical theology, disability studies, and research and writing pedagogy. Her work in biblical theology informs her approach to theological education and her teaching in the library's research and writing course. She is particularly interested in the intersection of disability studies with biblical interpretation, exploring how Scripture speaks to questions of embodiment and human flourishing. Her expertise in research and writing pedagogy shapes her role in equipping students with the critical thinking and communication skills necessary for effective ministry, helping them develop as thoughtful practitioners who can engage Scripture and theological sources with both rigor and faithfulness.
