Master of Divinity (MDiv)

Are you looking to be fully equipped as a future leader in the church? Are you keen to enliven your heart and enrich your mind through a deep dive into Biblical Studies, Theology, Missions, Church History, Preaching and conducting worship in the Prayer Book Tradition?

The Master of Divinity degree (MDiv) is 94 credits.

The Residential Pathway: The MDiv can be completed entirely in residence at our Ambridge campus. Enjoy establishing deep friendships, be formed by the rhythms of communal study and prayer, get trained for cross-cultural ministry, experience the Lord’s provision, and benefit from the generous scholarships offered to those who choose the Residential Pathway.

Residential Pathway students generally take 4-5 courses per term in Fall and Spring, supplementing as desired with January & June intensives, and graduate after 3-4 years of full-time study.

The Church-Based Pathway:  You can also complete your MDiv without relocating to Ambridge. 70 credit hours of the MDiv can be completed through online courses, many involving a partnership between Trinity and a local mentor.  Benefit from a strong relationship with a proven Anglican church leader, apply your seminary insights directly into your ministry context, and access our online library resources. There are limited scholarships for those who choose the Church-Based Pathway.

The residential requirement of 24 credits can be completed either during the Fall/Spring terms on Trinity’s Ambridge campus or through participation in our January and June Intensives.

Most Church-Based Pathway students graduate after 5-7 years of part-time study.
