Master of Sacred Theology (STM)

Are you looking to pursue advanced studies in one of the theological disciplines? Are you keen to take the next step towards future doctoral studies, or be better prepared to teach in your ministry context?

The Master of Sacred Theology (STM) is 24 credits; 18 credits of coursework, plus 6 credits dedicated to writing a thesis.  The STM can be completed entirely in residence at our Ambridge campus or as a hybrid of online studies and intensives.  A minimum of two STM courses (6 credits) must be completed in residence, either on Trinity’s Ambridge campus during the regular Fall/Spring terms, or during the intensives in January and June.

Residential students generally take 4-5 courses per term in Fall and Spring, supplementing as desired with January & June intensives.  Most residential students graduate after 1-2 years of full-time study.  Distance students generally take 1-2 courses per term in Fall, Spring, and Summer, with January & June intensives to fulfill residency.  Most distance students graduate after 1-3 years of part-time study.
