Canon Law in the ACNA
This workshop is a canon law training course for the ACNA, offered in partnership with Trinity. Clergy, lay leaders, safeguarding officers, and seminarians will learn to recognize and respond to abuse, navigate safeguarding processes, and build cultures of safety and healing, rooted in Scripture, Anglican tradition, and our canonical structures. Students at Trintiy can take this course for credit.
An ordained deacon in the ACNA, Jessica serves as Archdeacon and Canon for Leadership for the Gulf Atlantic Diocese, and previously as the Provincial Canon for the ACNA's Next Generation Leadership Initiative.
Jessica also served as the Associate Academic Dean and Thesis Director at The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies for the last 11 years. She holds a PhD in Educational Leadership from Northwest Nazarene University, a Doctor of Worship Studies from The Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies, and master's and bachelor's degrees from Florida State University. She has served as an adjunct professor at both Trinity Anglican Seminary and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and as a board member for Trinity. Her recent research focuses on how adults learn within a congregation and the teaching efficacy of ministry leaders.
Trinity is to be an evangelical seminary in the Anglican tradition. To this end we develop Christian leaders who can plant, renew, and grow churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ.
