Administrative Faculty

Mr. David Zamora's journey to Trinity began with a law degree in Colombia and ministry experience in an Anglican church in Wales. He came to Trinity as a student, earning his MDiv in 2020 while his wife pursued her own academic work. Now serving as Director of the Spanish Academic Program since 2018, he brings together his passion for Scripture, cross-cultural ministry experience, and doctoral research on the Hebrew Prophets to equip Spanish-speaking leaders for the Church.

Mr. Zamora introduces the Anglican Tradition as a dynamic reservoir of theological insights that students must critically engage and adapt for their ministry contexts. Through courses like "Anglicanismo Global" and "Introducción al Antiguo Testamento," he helps Spanish-speaking students bridge their cultural experiences with global Anglican heritage. His focus on the Old Testament's prophetic dimensions empowers students to see Scripture as a living source for contemporary faith and practice.

He treasures Trinity's communal rhythms of prayer and fellowship, where spiritual life and academic pursuit are deeply intertwined. His hope is that students become pastors intimately invested in their communities, embodying God's ongoing renovation of the world. David enjoys spending time with his wife Yina—hiking, cooking, and discovering new places together. He also loves stories in all media and plays and watches real football (what United Statesians call 'soccer'). Moved by refined taste, he supports the club that has sometimes elevated the sport to an art form.

Research Interests

Dr. Zamora's research expertise lies in the Hebrew Prophets, particularly the book of Zechariah, where he explores how prophetic futurity contributes to ethical and social change. His work highlights the literary artistry of these texts as Christian Scripture that continues to breathe life into the church’s life. Passionate about bridging scholarship and ministry, David encourages students to see prophetic literature as a vital resource for faithful leadership and contextual ministry, especially in Spanish-speaking settings where hopeful and transformative images of the future are urgently needed.
