The Rev. Cn. Dr. Greg Peters

The Rev. Cn. Dr. Greg Peters brings a scholar's heart and a priest's calling to Trinity. He serves as Professor of Medieval and Spiritual Theology at Biola University, Servants of Christ Research Professor at Nashotah House Theological Seminary, and Vicar of Anglican Church of the Epiphany in La Mirada, CA. Formed by studies at St. Michael's College (PhD), Sant'Anselmo (S.M.D.), and St. John's School of Theology (MA), he sees forming Anglican leaders as an extension of his own call to Holy Orders.

With one foot in the academy and one in the Church, Dr. Peters serves clergy and lay persons, forming leaders for the Anglican Church in North America. He believes all formation is of the head and the heart, that study should reach the heart and then the hands that serve God and neighbor. He sees himself as a co-learner in Christian community rather than a talking head, taking students deeper into the riches of the Christian tradition.

His hope is that Trinity graduates carry their formation into their communities, entrusting what they received to faithful people who will teach others also. Dr. Peters is a devoted reader of nineteenth and twentieth century Russian novels and the French Catholic novelists François Mauriac and Georges Bernanos. His wife insists his hobby cannot be his day job, so he co-founded a bourbon club, enjoying America's national whiskey.
