Mr. Jackson Matthew Waters

B.A. - 2021, Union University

Ambassador for Recruitment

Mr. Jackson Waters was called to preaching ministry in middle school, but as an aspiring Anglican minister, there wasn't an obvious seminary choice. When his bishop told him to attend Trinity, he asked, "Are you sure?" His bishop was, and Jackson is glad he did. With a BA from Union University and experience serving churches in Alexandria, Williamsburg, and Jackson, he now serves as Ambassador for Recruitment while completing his MDiv.

Mr. Waters helps those reflecting on a call to ministry discern if Trinity could equip them for service. His diverse experiences have given him insight into the resources Trinity offers future provincial leaders and the pathways needed to take them from discernment to ordination.

Three things stand out at Trinity: Dr. Jack Gabig's office with its warm counsel, tea, and cookies; Dr. David Ney's courses that give students a thorough grasp of Anglican tradition; and weekday lunches that build camaraderie and rhythms of rest. He hopes leaders trained at Trinity become the heart and voice of a bold evangelical church that turns the country toward Christ. He's a big college football fan, always game for a road trip, and the glad father of two daughters and husband to his wise wife, Emma.
