Mr. John McCoy

B.A. Economics/Busniess, Washington & Jefferson College

Director of Accounting

Mr. John McCoy brought over two decades of nonprofit accounting experience to Trinity when he joined as Director of Accounting in January 2017. His BA in Economics and Business from Washington & Jefferson College prepared him for serving Christian ministries, including his role at Washington City Mission, where a W&J accounting professor mentored him in nonprofit financial stewardship.

Mr. McCoy's work happens behind spreadsheets and financial reports, but he sees it as essential ministry. By providing accurate, up-to-date financial information, he equips faculty and staff to fulfill their calling with confidence. He also serves international students, walking them through federal, state, and local tax returns each year.

Trinity's Christian community has been a source of strength for Mr. McCoy through seasons of profound loss. After his wife passed away in 2019, and later when his brother lived with him before passing, he experienced Trinity's warmth firsthand. His hope for students is that they discover the gifts God has given them and develop those gifts for ministry. When he's not at his desk, you might find Mr. McCoy on his Yamaha V-Star 950 Tourer—a love of motorcycles that started at age twelve with paper route money.
