The Rev. Canon Wes Jagoe

MDiv- 2017, Trinity Anglican Seminary
BA- 2007, University of South Florida

Associate Dean of Community Life and Chaplain

Wes grew up in a home that taught him to love and serve the Lord. As a cradle Anglican and child of a Trinity graduate, he has seen how the Anglican tradition has formed and catechized him, drawing him into a deeper relationship with Christ through the beauty and theological richness of liturgical heritage.

After serving as a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps with several overseas deployments, he discerned a call to ordained ministry. He completed his MDiv at Trinity in 2017 and served as Canon for Worship at Saint Peter's Cathedral and later as Canon and Chaplain to Archbishop Foley Beach before being called to Trinity as Associate Dean of Community Life and Chaplain in 2023.

As Associate Dean, Wes oversees the non-academic aspects of life at Trinity, believing classroom learning cannot be separated from what is formed through worship and Christian community. As Chaplain, he oversees the chapel program, trains student liturgical leadership, and supports academic liturgy courses. Trinity strives to embody the classic Prayer Book tradition, providing a baseline for students as they prepare to minister in diverse contexts.

Wednesday community Eucharists are the highlight of his week, along with shared meals. His hope is that students grow closer to Christ and are equipped to live out the riches of Anglican tradition in a way that makes disciples of Jesus Christ. He enjoys time with his wife, infant son, friends, and family, and has traveled to over 75 countries.
